Pediatrician at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia TLC clinical center co-investigator. Subsequently served as Acting Chair and Chair of the CDC Advisory Committee on Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention (ACCLPP) from 2002 through 2005 — the critical period during which TLC results were translated into national policy.
Presided over the October 2004 ACCLPP meeting where Rogan, as NIEHS ex-officio member, presented TLC findings and stated they "do not support conducting another trial." Available meeting minutes do not document challenges to the trial's design limitations during the presentation, nor do they document conflict-of-interest review of ex-officio members presenting their own research.
Co-investigator at the Philadelphia TLC clinical center.
Chaired ACCLPP from 2002 through 2005 — the entire window during which TLC's null finding was translated into the 2002, 2004, and 2005 CDC guidelines.
